Ease in the Upper Body
How “Good Posture” Doesn’t Have to be Hard
Saturday, May 24, 10-12 pm
$75; In-Person, Sacramento, CA
Many of us try so hard to sit up straight, stand tall and “have good posture.”
More often than not, what all that effort leads to is tension, strain and overworking muscles.
What if it wasn’t so hard?
This “posture” workshop will help you make space in the sticky areas of the upper back, neck and shoulders.
We’ll do some myofascial release, work with inner support structures like the tongue, and use the breath to find organic alignment rather than rigid positioning.
Using ease to create change (so that there’s ease in the result).
Of course, all of this will relate to the pelvic floor, though this isn’t a pelvic floor-specific workshop.
You’ll leave with an incredible amount of freedom and spaciousness in your breath and movements.
The What?
One of the secrets to neck freedom is working with the muscles of the tongue, jaw and ears. Strange and true!
Here are a few recent comments from working in these areas:
“I have so more range of motion in my neck side to side.”
”The tongue and jaw work was amazing.”
”I clench and grind my teeth and the tongue work helped my jaw.”
”My jaw has been hurting and never knew the ear was so interconnected.”
”Wow, even my shoulders are more loose.”
You’ll take what you learn into your ongoing yoga practice, as well as into your daily life.
Join me for 2 hours of intelligent anatomy, effective movement and a lot of fun.
This is an in-person event in East Sacramento, CA. If you have questions about if this is right for you, contact me.
